Two Bit Consulting is a small technology consulting practice based in Kansas City, Missouri. We work with individuals, small businesses, and mission-driven organizations who need technology that actually works for them — not the other way around.
Most technology consultants sell you a solution and move on. We'd rather understand the problem first. Our goal is to be the kind of technology partner you can call when something's broken, when you're planning something new, or when you just need someone to tell you honestly whether the thing you're about to do is a good idea.
Jake Fowler founded Two Bit Consulting with a simple philosophy: technology consulting should be accessible, honest, and results-driven. With over twenty-five years of experience in technology strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation, Jake has worked with everyone from small non-profit organizations, businesses, and individuals to established enterprises. He's seen firsthand how the right technology decisions can accelerate growth, and how missteps can derail even the best-intentioned initiatives. Jake's approach is consultative and collaborative. Rather than imposing cookie-cutter solutions, he takes time to understand your business, your challenges, and your constraints — then charts a realistic path forward. His technical depth combined with business acumen means you get advice that actually works in the real world.
Maura Cluthe — blurring the lines between fine art, illustration and design, Maura has spent much of her career as a collaborator, combining and working in all three disciplines. As a young student in illustration, she first interned at Hallmark and continued to work there for twenty years as an illustrator, designer and art director. While at Hallmark, she helped launch the "Fresh Ink" alternative card line and assisted in the redesign of Kaleidoscope (a creative, fun place for kids), creating an 11-foot wooden robot that doubled as a storage unit for visitors. Maura continues to freelance and exhibit her mixed media work which, shown nationally, integrates painting, text, drawing, collage, and other stuff she has collected into her art.
She is currently an Associate Professor and the Charlie Sosland Chair of the Illustration Department at the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, Missouri.

Rosie and Gus are the true brains of Two Bit Consulting. They provide tail wags, supportive encouragement, and make sure we get away from our desks at least once an hour so they can protect the yard from vicious rabbits.
Rosie loves to nap, bark at invisible strangers, play with her fwiends at doggie day care, and eat tasty treats.
Gus loves to cuddle, nap, bark at other dogs, and go on long walks.
